On Dec. 3, 2001, Chinese government announced the China Compulsory Certificate system as part of its commitment for entry into the World Trade Organization (WTO). The first applications of products listed in categories required compulsory certification were accepted by Certification and Accreditation Administration of China on May 1, 2002. CCC certificate or CCC mark is required for delivery, import, movement and sale of Chinese manufactured and foreign imported products.
China Compulsory Certificate system is a product conformity assessment system lawfully implemented by Chinese government to protect personal safety of consumers and national security, and to enhance product quality management.
