UL Furniture Business’s Top Management Team Visiting
On January 22, 2016, Standard-Tech welcomed the visit of Mr. Giuseppe Barisan, director of global operations of UL Furniture Business, Mr. Waley Huang, furniture business operation manager in Greater China, and UL Sales and Engineering Team totaling 5 persons. Our visitors came to discuss cooperation plans and development goals of UL and Standard-Tech in household and commercial furniture testing and certification services.
As early as February 2014, Mr. Giuseppe Barisan came to visit Standard-Tech for the first time and concluded the PPP (Preferred Parter Program) agreement with Standard-Tech in household and commercial furniture. As the world’s first UL signed PPP furniture item testing lab, Standard-Tech has joined hands with UL to co-develop furniture product testing services.
Over the past two years, Standard-Tech has helped many clients obtain UL certification. Now Mr. Giuseppe Barisan intended to discuss the past two years’ partnership with Standard-Tech in his second visit with UL Furniture Business Management Team. He spoke highly of Standard-Tech’s testing capacities and service quality. The local testing services of Standard-Tech Guangzhou Lab will support UL Furniture Business expansion in Greater China, and facilitate Chinese furniture manufacturers.
Confident in the development of 2016, UL and Standard-Tech expressed the intention to enhance service quality based on the current cooperation mode. Meanwhile, both parties would unfold deeper and more extensive cooperation in furniture testing. It’s hoped that the development in furniture and furniture components of UL and Standard-Tech will be as successful as in lighting products.
Lastly, Standard-Tech invited UL visitors to tour around the newly built Standard-Tech Certification and Testing Tower and Test Center. UL visitors were impressed by the neat, beautiful office and lab environment, and specialized equipment and testing capacities of Standard-Tech.
