UL1598 New Inspection Frequency

The factory inspection frequency under the UL1598 has changed starting January 2015, the new frequency is a two tier system based on yearly anticipated production:

≤12.000 units /year will have 4 inspections per year

> 12.000 units/year will have 12 inspections per year

About Factory inspections

Factory inspections are conducted to ascertain whether certified products produced in the facility are identical, within accepted manufacturing tolerances, to the sample against which the product certification was granted. Inspection services include initial production inspection, during-process inspection, final random inspection and packing supervision.
