DLC Formally Promulgates Technical Requirements Table V3.1
On the early morning of Nov 21, 2015(BJT), DLC formally released and executed the latest Technical Requirements Table V3.1.
There are four noticeable changes in V3.1, the new version, in comparison to the old standard:
Change 1
The category of "E39 screw-base LED replacements" is added in accordance with the type of replacement finished lamps, build-in power supply (Type B) and external power supply (Type C), including 13 kinds of replacements, but excluding the LED replacements (Type A) that are directly compatible with HID ballast. This newly-added category is not eligible for the DLC Premium version at this time.
Change 2
The accreditation scope of LED lamps is enlarged in accordance with the number of the tested lamps on the lamp panel. As for the lamps with the length of 1.2m and 0.6m, it is permitted to apply for the use of 2, 3 or 4 lamps on a lamp panel.
Change 3
Direct Linear Ambient Luminaires are added to the category of interior lamp replacements. It is not permitted to equip such replacements with light holders or pins.
Change 4
Non-Cutoff and Semi-Cutoff are added to the category of outdoor lighting with changeable calculation of luminous efficiency. The luminous flux and the zonal lumen distribution (%) are evaluated considering the light output in the 0°-90° zone.
